Taurian Fontenette professionally known as Mr. 720 grew up in Hitchcock Texas. He initially attended Richland Junior College as a freshman. While at Richland, Mr. 720 was first team all defense and freshman of the Year averaging 12 points, 8 rebounds. Following his impressive freshman year at Richland he was highly recruited and later attended the University of Texas at El Paso on scholarship. As a sophomore he went through some terrible injuries losing his scholarship and thinking his basketball career had ended. He stayed motivated and in the summer of 2005 relocated to Houston and tried out for the AND 1 Mixtape Tour. He was successful and joined the squad but again would be plagued with injury. In his words, “dreams are not deferred,” Mr. 720 continued conditioning and working out and secured a contract in August 2007, which he would entertain the audiences with his signature move the “720 Shock.”
